This summer I received the opportunity to go down to Washington D.C. and stay at George Washington University for three consecutive weeks. The first program is a non-credit writing course entitled “Writing the City”. The program works to develop a voice amongst rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors as they participate in different writings and readings over the course of two weeks, all while exploring Washington D.C. and the George Washington University campus and facilities. After a weekend break in Rockville with Aunt Nik and Uncle Steve following the first two weeks, I head back to George Washington for a second program. This program is a rowing camp with the college to develop rowing skills and get a chance to row in D.C. Ultimately, I expect both experiences to be both challenging and fulfilling and I look forward to staying in touch through this blog for the duration of my journey.
